Hi,
I’m new to XWiki, transitioning from Confluence, and currently working on configuring permissions to restrict departments to their own top-level pages and any subpages.
I’ve noticed that in the Dashboard, there’s a page called “XWiki” with several subpages, some of which are related to groups and permissions.
When I restrict a user’s ability to view the “XWiki” page and its subpages, it breaks the wiki for that user. For example, themes stop working, navigation doesn’t load, and the overall experience is disrupted.
From a security perspective, I’m concerned about whether it’s good practice for all users to have visibility of groups, users that are set by the administrator. Could you advise on how this is typically handled in XWiki or if there’s a recommended approach? Or am i bering overly cautious?
Thanks
